Sep 21, 2017 · I have a new Linksys EA9500 to replace another router. The old router is set to IP address 192.168.101.1 with a 255.255.255.0 mask. There are static printers and pcs connected to it. This new 9500 router will not let me assign the address 192.168.101.1 / 255.255.255.0. I says invalid address. It will however work 255.255.0.0.

I've tried all of the typical cable modem ip adresses, and nothing is working. I've tried some other random ip addresses, and no luck. I have spectrum, and I'm using an arris cable modem.
